The Master Plan

We know that Rancho Sotol is a special place: it’s something you can feel in the sea, in the air, in the light of those fantastic Baja sunrises. Our commitment is based on a love for this place. Every aspect of life at Rancho Sotol has been thoughtfully designed to maintain the magic of this place for generations to come.

Community areas, including the club house, walking and biking trails, pool, outdoor kitchen and fire pit, are all intentionally designed to work with the natural beauty of Baja, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor spaces. Private retreats and homes are spread throughout private areas, ensuring that residents will never have to deal with overcrowding. As a low-density and low-impact plan, we are committed to a carbon footprint of 29%. Years of research and development stand behind this commitment. We’ve made sure to put in place appropriate regulations to make sure that we maintain this vision and build a secure future for all who join us at Rancho Sotol. Our Architectural Committee will guide residents through the building process to ensure that all homes and structures align with the vision for this community.

This vision is built to last. Rancho Sotol is a place to enjoy today, tomorrow and forever. The sweeping views of Jacques Cousteau Island and the Sea of Cortez are being preserved now so that your children, and your children’s children, will be able to enjoy those same views. All of the elements of our Master Plan for this community work in cohesion to ensure the longevity of Rancho Sotol. Our carefully reviewed regulations for building (CC&Rs) have all been designed to ensure a sound investment for our residents.

Come join us and discover for yourself the beauty and magic of life at Rancho Sotol. It is something to share with family and friends for a lifetime and beyond.
